Choices - Induction Training
The aim of this document is to detail what you will receive when you commit to the Induction Training Programme.
- A one-day assessment course, in house, to ascertain the level of competence
of the potential new adviser as per the Regulators requirements. This will
include, Industry wide Generic Product Knowledge test, Fact Find and Sales
Presentation role-play assessments and a Case Study.
- New Entrant training for Trainee Advisers
An in-house two-day Induction course. Fulfilling the Regulators requirement for establishing Adviser competence. Training and assessment will be completed in the following areas: firm specific T & C/Compliance knowledge and test, firm specific sales process knowledge and assessments via role-plays of Fact Find and Sales Presentation skills.
A specified number of Training Development Analysis meetings will be agreed in accordance with the companies T & C Schedule. These will assess: Key Performance Indicators, CPD records, Letters of Suitability and Fact find completion. - Following achievement of Competent Adviser status, continuing competence
can be assessed by use of additional meetings, from within our Core Services.
It is the responsibility of the Compliance Oversight to decide the appropriate actions to be taken.
Training & Development Analysis Meetings
These meetings will assess an individual on their continuing competencies in all the following areas: CPD, Key Performance Indicators and general business matters. Subsequently, a record of the meeting will be given to the Compliance Oversight highlighting any deficiencies or development needs of the individual assessed.
Application Skills Assessment
These two separate elements will consist of meetings, which will assess the application of knowledge in the sales process and will be completed within the New Entrant Training Programme, as stipulated in the companies T & C Schedule.
FACT FIND
All New Entrants will demonstrate their ability via a structured Fact Find role-play, to gather relevant information in order to fulfil the "Know your client" criteria.
SALES PRESENTATION
All New Entrants will demonstrate their ability to transfer the relevant information and recommendation to the client in a clear and understandable way. Following these assessments a record of the meeting will be given to the Compliance Oversight highlighting any deficiencies or development needs of the individual assessed.
